Following the recent developments with the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Plainfield Park District will be suspending programs starting on Monday, March 16 and running through March 30.
Programs affected will include:
- Winter basketball league will end its season following the final games on March 15
- Great Adventures early childhood programs have been suspended starting Monday, March 16
- All other Park District programs including dance, and youth classes have been suspended starting March 16
- Free walking track hours at the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center (PARC) will be closed to the public starting March 16
The Prairie Activity & Recreation Center (PARC) and the Prairie Fit fitness center will remain open to members only starting March 16.
As this is an ongoing situation, closings may happen without advanced notification.
Park District staff will re-assess the ongoing situation and provide updated information mid- to late-week March 16 – 20.
The Plainfield Park District Board of Commissioners supports this decision for the health and well-being of our program participants, the community at large, and our dedicated staff.
