Starting June 5, The Ottawa Street Pool’s regular hours will be:
Monday – Friday: 12:00-4:30p
Saturday and Sunday: 11:00a-6:00p
Starting June 5th, patrons will no longer be required to make an online reservation for a swim session. Patrons can swim on their schedule based on the pool’s hours of operation.
The pool facility will have a 100-person capacity. Anyone arriving after we’ve reached capacity, will be asked to wait until a spot becomes available before entering the pool.
Spots are first come first served, but if you wish to call ahead to get an idea of how many people are currently at the pool you are welcome to do so.
Season Pass Holders: Pass holders can gain entrance to the pool during the first 15 minutes of each day when admittance will be reserved for pass holders only: Monday – Friday from 12-12:15 and Saturday and Sunday from 11-11:15.
Masks/Face coverings: Until further notice, approved face coverings are required for anyone over the age of two when entering the facility regardless of vaccinations or previous medical conditions. Face coverings may be removed when sitting in your chair on the deck or swimming in the water.
Checking In: Anyone entering the facility will enter through the locker rooms. Season pass holders will scan in with their fobs to enter. Staff will begin letting in members no more than 5 minutes before the start on the time block.
Cleaning Protocol: Ottawa Street Pool staff will be sanitizing the locker rooms, deck chairs and picnic tables throughout the day. We will also have hand sanitizer dispensers placed in the locker rooms before entering the deck area.
What does a Daily Pass Cost?
Cost for a daily entrance pass is $5.
What if the Pool Closes?
In the event that the pool is closed due to inclement weather or low turnout, the Park District will alert residents of the closure as soon as possible at the top of our website, plfdparks.org. Look for pool closure info in the blue bar at the top.
In addition, residents can go to our Facebook page where an announcement will be available at the top if the facility is closed.
Sign up for Text Alerts
Residents can also sign up to receive pool closure status updates on their phones by texting “OSP” to (833) 222-3024.
No status update during regular pool hours on either the website or Facebook or via text message means that the pool is currently open.
