An average of just over 10,000 people participate in Park District programs each year. Over 8,000 people pay to use our new rec center, the Prairie & Activity Recreation Center. The fitness center logged almost 20,000 visits in 2019, while another 1,100 ran or walked the elevated track.
Our local business partners in the community help to offset the cost of programming and special events, making them accessible to all of our residents. Because of the support of our friends in the business community, we are able to provide many great free or low-cost events throughout the year.
