EARLY BIRD SEASON POOL PASSES: AVAILABLE FEB. 23 – MAY 24

Season Passes will be available for purchase beginning FEBRUARY 23. Our Season Pool Pass has its privileges, such as admittance 15 minutes before the general public so you can secure your favorite spot, early admittance the second Sunday of each month, and Passholder Appreciation Day. It’s a fun and affordable way to relax and enjoy your summer with family and friends. Remember that the more times you visit the Ottawa Street Pool, the more you save!

Patrons must register in person for pool passes! Please visit the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center (PARC) at 24550 West Renwick Road in Plainfield to purchase.

Ottawa Street Pool is located in Ottawa Park, directly across from the Recreation/Administration Center near downtown Plainfield. The 278,000-gallon, L-shaped outdoor pool is equipped with high and low diving boards and contains lap lanes. The facility also has deck chairs for sun-bathing, a 3,000-gallon enclosed tot wading pool, and a picnic area for patrons.

  1. The Plainfield Park District requires proof of residency when purchasing a season pass. A current driver’s license, voter’s registration, or tax bill.
  2. When registering, please include all names and birthdates of members you are purchasing a pass for on your registration form.
  3. A senior citizen must be 60 years or older to receive a senior pass.
  4. Each member will be issued their own individual pass.
  5. The replacement fee is $5 per pass.

Everyone passing through the admissions area is required to either pay the daily admission fee or present their season pass. You may only pay by cash or credit card; no personal checks are allowed.

Rental times are in 2 hours long during regular hours of operation. The fee includes admissions for up to 20 guests and party space. All guests attending the rental are included in the headcount. Full payment is due at the time of the reservation.

Aquatic Rental Form

The aquatic rental form is a fillable form via Adobe online and is emailed those filling it out. It must then be either emailed to osp@plfdparks.org or printed and brought with you when turning it in in person. Questions about pool rental can be sent to OSP@PLFDPARKS.ORG or call 779-252-2717.

After hour rental of the pool rental times are 2 hours long. The fee includes admissions for up to 50 guests. All guests attending the rental are included in the head count. Full payment is due at the time of the reservation. Use of the Baby Pool during private rentals is an additional $40 fee. The Baby Pool is intended for children under the age of 5.

The Ottawa Street Pool reserves the right to close the facility due to inclement weather or low attendance.

Inclement Weather
If the outside temperature does not reach 70 degrees by the time of opening, Ottawa Street Pool will be closed until 5 p.m.

Swimming is prohibited when thunder is heard or lightning is seen. The pool will close for a 30-minute period after the last lightning or thunder is detected. If the pool is closed due to rain and the weather clears by 2:30 p.m., we will attempt to re-open by 3 p.m. Otherwise the pool will remain closed.


Low Attendance
Ottawa Street pool reserves the right to close the pool due to low attendance. If the attendance does not reach 20 patrons within the first two hours, the pool will close for the remainder of the day.

Rain checks may be issued to those participants paying daily admission into the Ottawa Street Pool and who are rained out within the first hour of their visit. NO CASH REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.


Swim Lessons Cancellations
Swim lessons will be canceled for inclement weather such as thunder/lightning. Lessons will also be canceled if the air temperature is below 60 degrees or if both the air temperature is below 65 degrees and the water temperature is below 70 degrees. A decision will be made 30 minutes before class begins.

The number is toll free and you can opt out anytime by texting “stop.”

  1. No diving or flipping off the side of the pool.
  2. No food or beverages are allowed on the pool deck, except in the designated areas.
  3. Smoking, alcoholic beverages, and any other illegal substances are strictly prohibited.
  4. Goggles may be worn, but fins, and snorkels are not allowed.
  5. Only U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets and water wings may be used.
  6. High-dive users must be 48” tall.
  7. Swimsuit with swim liners only. No leotards, cutoffs, or colored T-shirts are allowed.
  8. Children under the age of 2 must wear plastic pants or swim diapers; no disposable diapers.
  9. Plainfield Park District is not responsible for the loss or theft of any personal belongings.
  10. Children under 10 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
